What is a biography? What kinds of biographies do you know? Have you ever read one? Who was it about? What kind of information should a biography have? What linguistic features do you expect to find in a biography? Exemplify.

In groups: Read about a writer and a painter. Answer the questions: Where was she/he born? When was she/he born? What do you learn about his/her childhood? Which people played a part in her/his life? What do you think were the most important events in her/his life? What do you learn of her/hius works? When did she/he die?

Based on the biographies you’ve read, think about your autobiography. Write it down and hand it on 31 March, 2011. Who are you? Where were you born? What was your family like?
