Lecturer EVS left the job on 25.1.11. However post of Lecturer Maths remained vacant throughout the session and we invited Guest Faculty to take up the paper on Teaching of Maths and Teaching of EVS. Convergence with SSA and other functionaries/ Boards under Department of Education It is expected that every teacher undergoes 20 days training under SSA. With the technical support from DIETs, SCERT use to organise programme in all the Districts of Delhi on a uniform pattern. In the session 2010-11 DIETs were authorised to plan their own programmes under SSA. But simultaneously INSET programmes were to be organised from Programme Head received from MHRD. It is not possible for Education agencies like MCD, NDMC and DOE to make the teachers available for INSET programmes organised under different Heads.
9
In 2010-11 SSA representative expected that we will propose programmes which may be approved by SSA and funds will be sanctioned. But need of organisation of a particular programme should come from SSA and DIETs may provide Technical and Resource Support. Generally we in DIETs do not directly deal with outside agencies like MCD, NDMC and DOE. For School Experience Programme SCERT seek general approval for taking schools for School Experience Programme for ETE trainees and after that approval DIETs are expected to contact the District authorities. They generally give full cooperation.
