Operations in the Output Window The OUTPUT Window is divided into two panes: The Output proper (the larger pane to the right) and The Output Navigator (an outline view of the output). Use the Output Navigator to scroll rapidly through the output.
6
Operations in the Data View Window You can use the Output Navigator to HIDE or DISPLAY various sections (OBJECTS) in the Output Pane. Double clicking on an Icon in the Navigator hides the object from view on the Output Pane. Double clicking again redisplays the object. You can also use the Navigator to rearrange the order of object in the Output Pane.
7
Operations in the Data View Window Clicking once on an item in the Navigator causes the corresponding object on the Output Pane to be selected…a single-line border is placed around the selected object. You can also select the object by clicking it one time in the Output Pane When an object is selected, there are several things you can do with it.
8
Operations in the Data View Window Double clicking an object in the Output Pane opens the object as a Pivot Table. A hatched border is placed around the object (now called a pivot table). A Pivoting Tray and/or a Formating Toolbar may open. Pivot tables are open for editing. Almost everything in the pivot table can be edited, hidden from view, and/or rearranged. Try clicking on a section in the pivot table while holding CTRL and ALT keys down.
