2  Seventy percent of those surveyed already offered their employees paid sick leave.  All businesses, regardless of size, have to offer either five or nine paid days off to both full-time and part- time employees.  Employees allowed to carry forward unused sick time from year to year.  NJBIA is leading a coalition of business organizations who are opposed to the legislation. 3  Nine municipalities have mandatory paid sick leave ordinances.  Municipal ordinances create a patchwork of laws that are burdensome for business.  Recent survey showing success of Jersey City paid sick leave law shows just the opposite
