Bring up a browser Search images for research poster Search for your discipline and poster – Eg archaeology poster What is common between the posters you think are appealing What are some of your poster ‘turn offs’

Time to share Write one key idea from your research on each post-it (3-4 total) Now write your organizational headings Introduction What is your title? MethodsDiscussion/ Results Conclusion References Acknowledgements Create your outline with your post-its

Technology to create PowerPoint (.pptx or ppt) Photoshop or other raster app Illustrator or other vector app Page size 48” x 36” Expect a ¼” white border Lead the technology, don’t let it guide you

Create your content Walk away Edit Get someone else to read Edit At least a week to print Something to carry the poster (eg poster tube) Make enough time!!!
