Park History People have visited what is now Canyon Lands for over 10,000 years.

Interesting Facts A living crust called Bio-logical soil crust covers much of the canyon lands and the surrounding area.

Plants & Animals SSSSome of the plants & animals in the canyon lands are mule deer, coyote, leopard frog, desert four o’ clock, gopher snakes, common globe mallow, and many more!

Activities AAAAuto-touring, back packing, biking, ranger- led programs, stargazing, and many more!

Conservation This park has many things to protect the environment. For example: nature only trails, a lot of special habitats, and hiking trails.( So no cars go on it.)
