Page 75 The earliest know culture. Most of the tools made by this culture were made of stone. This period of this culture is know as the paleolithic (old stone) age. Nomadic hunters(roaming) Invented the atlatl-sling that threw darts for hunting food.

Early archaic indians moved often and followed herds of Indians Late archaic used more advanced tools like an axe and practiced horticulture and began to live in small villages

Grew most of their food (maize=corn) Villages became larger with up to 1000 folks living together After 1600 the people left the villages and it is a mystery what happened.
