19 Grading scheme:  1.0 (best) via 4.0 (pass) to 5.0 (non-pass)  Stepping: +/- 0.3 (1.0, 1.3, 1.7, 2.0 … 4.0) Failing examinations:  Courses are failed if graded 5.0: » In case of poor performance (usually less than 50 %) » In case of cheating » In case students miss an exam they are registered for without providing a qualified doctoral attestation  2 repetitions possible  No exam may be repeated if graded better than 4.0  Repetition is voluntary but registration for repetition (for 2 nd attempt) takes place automatically  Compulsory courses must be passed successfully!
