2 About Me Born December, 1987 Attended John Marshall High School 2001-2005 BA in Economics from UC Berkeley ’09 MA in Education from Pepperdine University ’10 Currently married with two kids, ages 2 years and 1 month.

5 Requirements Bring to class every day: –Notebook –2 pens and 2 pencils –A book of your choosing (within decency)

6 Lesson 1: Character “Character” is another way of saying “personality.” It is important for all of the characters in a story to have personalities. The interactions between conflicting personalities often move the story.

7 Characterization As we read through the following story, try to come up with and write down five personality traits that you would use to describe the protagonist. Be prepared to share your answers and support them based on the story.
