Logistics & Ground Rules ARRIVE ON TIME !!! INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE TEAM. REMEMBER THERE WILL BE NEW MEDICAL STUDENTS IN EACH AREA EVERY DAY IF YOU ARE ASKED TO REQUEST AN INVESTIGATION/PROCEDURE BE AWARE OF YOUR OWN LIMITATIONS AND HIGHLIGHT THAT YOU ARE A MEDICAL STUDENT.

Simulation sessions An interactive session using a simulator to cover Acute Scenarios More sessions as requested: Introduction and High Fidelity Based in room 00007 in the CSB: 9 am and 1:30pm. In order for you to get the most out of these sessions you should do some reading Please follow guidelines and BNF recommendations!!! Please remember to bring your stethoscope and DRESS APPROPRIATELY AS FOR THE WARD

Dress Code Surgical Centre Eating, drinking, smoking and chewing gum is not permitted in the Surgical Centre Long hair should be tied back prior to entering the lab Open-toed shoes and sandals are not permitted in the lab Coats, bags and laptops must be left on the pegs provided in the changing area Please dispose of gloves, towels and overshoes in the yellow bins provided and wash hands thoroughly before leaving the area.

Dress professionally Formative assessment: Vivas: case discussion on one of 8 most important topics in the block/ MCQ 46 questions, formative assessment on topics taught- pre and post block papers.
