Cybersex is a virtual sexual encounter in which two or more people connect remotely via computer and send each other sexually explicit messages describing a sexual experience.

Sexting (a portmanteau of sex and texting) is the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photos electronically, primarily between mobile phones.

“The taking of a sexually explicit pictures of a child is manufacturing child pornography. The transmission (sending of that picture electronically or otherwise) is distribution of child pornography. Possessing such pictures is possession of child pornography. The Code of Virginia, as it relates to these crimes, considers a child any person under the age of eighteen. These crimes are felonies, maximum punishments range from 5 years to twenty years in prison. Cybersex is a fantasy that is shared between two people, it never HAS to actully happen.

By engaging yourself in sexting/cybersex you are avoiding the real thing for whatever reason, this is a safer way to enjoy another person.
