❖ What everyone has to target: ➢ Products: e.g., cropland maps, one for each product; statistics; ➢ Peer-reviewed papers: must go to top 3-4 RS Journals; ➢ Algorithms: need to release with products and papers; ➢ ATBTs or Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document: need to release this with products; ➢ Presentations: need to be comprehensive and clear. ……it is your responsibility to get this going for your study area ……expectation is everyone has the above during the January meeting for the respective study areas. ❖ Global land cover accuracy paper: in process of submission to a peer-reviewed Journal (Russ and Kamini); ……expect announcements from Russ on the above! …….we are expecting other’s to start coming with Products, papers, algorithms, ATBTs. ❖ Kamini and Aparna visited Flagstaff. They are in process of finalizing their work-plan\PhD research and circulate to group; ❖ Jim Tilton’s Hseg is creating interest and it appears Kamini is planning to test Hseg for croplands vs. non-croplands. Jun is trying to see whether it will help reference data generation; ❖ Chandra Giri will be sending the global land cover reference data; ❖ Cristina’s Nigeria and North Africa work will also bring in more ground data?; ❖ Murali completed another field campaign in East Africa; ❖ Pardha and Jun got WARP accounts from NGA!!; ❖ Kamini and Aparna working on obtaining the WARP account; ❖ Pardha is desperately awaiting visa for Australia field work; ❖ Jun, Pardha, Richard are working on products and algorithms for Africa, Australia, and USA respectively.
