2 Vocational Automotive Defined What’d I get myself into?  Learn how to act as a technician  Use much of the same tools and equipment as technicians working in the field.  Professionalism? What’s that mean?  Being that this is an “articulated” class, there are going to be some high expectations and opportunities.  The jobs will be challenging at times but remain safe and exciting

4 Learning Activities Shop Demonstrations and discussion with extensive shop jobs covering automotive competencies.

6 Shop Expectations as Defined by the Instructor  Timeliness  Be on time with a professional attitude and appropriate attire for the day’s task.  3 tardy = shop improvement, before lab work is allowed  Work safely and cooperatively with others

7 Shop Expectations as Defined by the Instructor  Use equipment and tools properly and return them to their proper storage location.  All student handbook policies are supported in this environment.  What’s that mean for…  Attendance  Clothing  Language  …

10 Elective AssignmentElective Assignment  Every Quarter  Log 2.5 hours of work additional to assigned work  The Nuts & Bolts of this initiative  Fill out a Mankato West Repair Order  Anything from changing oil to overhaul  Have fun working in an area you enjoy the most!  Official hour log will be derived from ALLDATA
