Read, read, read text and notes….. Note all schedules and assignments Listen to instructions and get clarification

16 Success II Read carefully and analytically when doing homework and classwork. book has material we will refer to in class. Homework and study should not take more than 90 minutes each evening. Work with your classmates, delegate tasks, share answers, make sure they are correct. Read and study all notes and text each day when done with a lesson. Think history!

17 Success III Make-up work –You have as many days as you were absent to try for full credit See me after class or later the day you return You can keep up by –getting assignments from the class web page. –Contacting me by e-mail (I can even send you any worksheets I have on file.) –have on file.) Late Work: no higher mark than a C-. Plagiarism/copying: automatic failure –If you do not cite a source and use at least six words exactly from the source. –You and the person(s) you borrowed from/allowed to copy any class writing assignment.

18 Success IV You will achieve as much as you prepare for this course each day. –LAUSD requires 40 minutes of homework and study, each night, for a five-day week. Almost all your assignments and studies should fit that time frame. Late work: I will accept late work up to 5 school days prior to each grading period’s deadline. Not after. –C- max, if it qualifies
