27 More Uses for Commas 391K Trans 4-13 Use a comma to set off the words, yes, no, and well when they appear as introductory words at the beginning of a sentence. Use commas to set off the names of people who are addressed directly.

30 Improving Your Writing 391L Combining Sentences by Creating a Series. Good writers put items in series in one sentence rather than mentioning the items in separate sentences.
