8. 12-CRS-0106 REVISED 8 FEB 2013 Conference Branding Ad Hoc: Survey Performed – 668 Responses Website is Critical – attendees get virtually all their information from the conference web site Conference name is not important when deciding whether to attend a conference Minimal attendee confusion on sponsorship (~5% misunderstood who sponsor was and cared) Having IEEE involved was very important –Type of involvement (financial or TCS) was unimportant –Sponsoring IEEE OU somewhat important (50% didn’t care, 50% did care) 8 Wanted Data to Guide Next Steps
