Student Health Insurance Plan Insurance coverage not required to be seen in SHS, but it is strongly recommended that each student have adequate health insurance coverage. GW Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is managed by Aetna student Health. Students enrolled in SHIP are exempt from charges associated with routine medical office visits and psychiatric visits.
