WHAT HAPPENED:SIGNIFICANCE: Vessel caught fire and subsequently sank Used OSLTF to conduct initial response/mitigation of fuel spill Estimated 650 gals of diesel fuel onboard Estimated 300 gallons discharged Over 350 gallons successfully recovered from the fuel tanks Rapid response by local fire department to extinguish the fire OSRO was able to rapidly place containment boom around the vessel. Responsible Party assumed the contract with Global Diving Salvage to remove the vessel

WHAT HAPPENED:SIGNIFICANCE: Vessel caught fire and subsequently sank approx 3 miles off the coast of Washington Used OSLTF to hire local tug to attempt to tow the vessel back to shore before it sank Estimated 800 gals of diesel fuel onboard No product was able to be recovered Sank in a National Marine Sanctuary Required coordination with local Hoh tribe and NOAA

WHAT HAPPENED:SIGNIFICANCE: At some point during the night, it is suspected that a vessel discharged an estimated 1000 - 2000 gallons of oily bilge water into Salmon Bay. Used OSLTF to conduct response/mitigation of fuel spill Unknown source Estimated 500 gallons recovered Required an extensive investigation of over 50 potential boats within Salmon Bay that could be suspect Extensive sampling was performed Significant media interest Large area to clean up To date, no RP identified

WHAT HAPPENED:SIGNIFICANCE: Vessel was being towed (dead ship) by small skiff when it ran aground and subsequently sank at the next high tide Used OSLTF to conduct initial response/mitigation of fuel spill Estimated 300-500 gals of diesel fuel onboard Estimated 75 gallons discharged Over 400 gallons successfully recovered Outstanding multi-agency response and coordination Local community extremely concerned about the spill and impacts Prolonged response (stilll on going)
