1) Physical – how you look, your appearance, what you wear, your hair style, your accessories, etc. 2) Emotional – how you react to various situations: something funny, something scary, something intimidating, something serious, etc. 3) Personality – your values, your beliefs, your moods, your outlook on things, perspectives, quirks, mannerisms, etc.

Your character grows and changes over time. Experience can change all three dimensions of a character. The best way to describe character is through adjectives – which are words that describe a noun. Choose three famous (appropriate) characters. Develop a character sketch chart for each of them. You should have ten adjectives per dimension.

You are going to write a character sketch for a peer. You need to describe that peer three dimensionally. You really need to think about the person, or yourself, in a serious manner in order to do this. What is your character? If there was an audition for your role, who would you want to play you? Why? Who would best bring out your character?
