NOUNS Orange means Warning! I am an important detail in the sentence! A NOUN is a Person, Place, Thing, or Idea You cannot have a sentence without a noun! Most of the words we encounter in reading are nouns Some examples of nouns include Love, Hunger, Table, Basketball, Boy, Girl, Cafeteria, or Park

I went to bed early, ate a high protein breakfast, stretched, and drove to the pool. I was tired after swimming the race, but had so much fun! ADJECTIVES Adjectives are social words! They can never be alone in a sentence. Adjectives add details, or describe a noun. Sentences don’t have to have adjectives, but they help us with details. Adjectives will always be next to a noun. Some examples of adjectives are: Pretty, Angry, Red, Small, big, Crazy, Explanatory
