3.  Henry Ford - Achievements ◦ Founder of the Ford Motor Company ◦ Sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production. ◦ Developed and manufactured the first automobile that many middle class Americans could afford to buy- the Model T. ◦ Revolutionized work by offering $5 a day wage to his employees, double the going wage, which cut down on turnover.  Enduring Accomplishment ◦ Made factory work easier, and paid people a reasonable wage, set standards for working in factories
