2. Background BPA issue has caused more and more attention throughout the world. Chinese authorities banned feeding bottles containing BPA for infants and younger children. MOH intends to add a strict limitation of BPA level in drinking water related products (water pipes and materials) MEP will limit BPA in printers. Proposal Setup a cross committee ad hoc BPA work group under the frame of current cross-committee Food Contact Cooperation Closely cooperate with global PC/BPA group through information sharing, teleconference and other possible meanings to take the advantage of their expertise and resources. Objectives/ Updates Facilitate the coordination among members and communication/lobby with MOH and related government agencies, Reduce the impact of this issue on member companies to the minimum Developed a position paper on BPA ban in baby bottles. MOH accepted AICM proposal to limit the ban to baby bottles rather than baby food containers BPA Issue

4. Toxic Chemical Management Updates Nonyl phonel has been added to the 2011 list of toxic chemicals restricted for import/export, which impacted many member companies. Internal meeting to discuss members’ concerns on toxic chemical import registration. Communicated with CRC Work Plan Develop a position paper and further communicate with MEP/CRC. Jointly organize a training with LC to help members better understand HS code Follow up the updates of the list of toxic chemicals restricted for import/export
