KELLOGG ASIA PACIFIC – FOOD SAFETY AUDITS Project Value: US $44.6 million Projected Completion: 2012 Status Quo report summarizes the inventory of facilities and installations, together with defects, repair work and preventative maintenance work to be performed as well as a review of the hygiene zoning, compliance and corrective actions to be implemented. The cost estimate for the nine (9) plants is $44,679,988. This is an average cost of $258 per m².

KELLOGG - INDIA - VALARCHI PROJECT The total preliminary construction cost estimate (US$), including professional consultancy fees, for the construction of the new factory (excluding production and packaging equipment) is $21,927,168 (including taxes). This amount includes all Civil, Building and Structural Steel work as well as the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic installation The new Kellogg production facility in India will be located at the Sri City Industrial Development, close to Chennai, on 78,800 m² of property.

Ticker saving estimate The above Ticker Saving calculation is a cost comparison between the original and final approved 2nd enabling cost estimate. The reduction in cost was achieved through various efforts to value engineer the solutions considered as well as considering alternative technologies not compromising on people and food safety. Below follows a brief description of how this cost reduction was achieved.
