Institutional Portrait: Purpose Consistency with the TAR principle Accountability: – Helps us all monitor Network progress – Support reporting requirements (e.g. annual reports to funding agency) Transparency that allows us to share institutional and network planning Provides data for funding opportunities

Goals for Today Consensus on the importance of an annual institutional portrait (a form of TAR at the program level) Consensus that the institutional portraits should be public within the Network. Discussion of the content of the institutional portrait. Questions or issues for further consideration.

2013 Annual Institutional Portrait The Institutional Portrait is an annual compilation of campus information that aids in creating an overall picture of the CIRTL Network and allows all of us to monitor progress across the network and learn from each other. Part looking back & part looking forward

Institutional Portrait: Program Content Local Program information (e.g description, target audience, format, evidence of impact) Participant information (number, field of study, demographics if possible) Cross-network program information

Identify the CIRTL programs offered at your campus during the 2012-2013 academic year Target Audience: Core CIRTL Ideas emphasized in the Program? What outcome level does this activity address? What CIRTL Outcome Level skills are addressed by the program? What is the level of engagement for this activity? Evidence of impact

Evidence of Impact (up to 500 words) Describe the extent to which this program has helped participants achieve some of the stated CIRTL Learning outcomes. Please describe the evidence that supports your statement of outcomes achieved (e.g. student work, participant survey, interview or focus group, rubric). (i.e. What did you learn by applying a TAR approach to this program?)

Cross-Network Programming Please list your institution’s 3 programmatic contributions to the cross-network learning community during the 2012-13 academic year. (1 category-1, 2 category-2) (Note: we’ll want to coordinate this question with the cross-network programming submission process so we can reduce duplicate in information requests. )

Network Meeting (or fall in-person meeting)
