4 Directing Your Own Life You should be involved in the decisions about your life Decisions should be made based on choices that you have learned about You should get help from people you trust when you need it Making good decisions takes time and effort

5 Self-Directing Your Work Life Means that you take the time to think about: what you want to do what you like to do what you are good at doing what resources and opportunities are available You may need to try different things to figure out what is right for you
