6 Bible Survey - Daniel Purpose of Writing: Daniel recorded the visions which he received from God as well as the interpretations of the visions and dreams of others. The overwhelming message of these visions and dreams is that God is sovereign over world events. This message was meant to encourage the Jewish exiles and serve as a warning to the Babylonian and later the Persian leaders.
