5 5/8 SELL and the economic crisis  In the last SELL meeting (Turkey, May 2009) SELL members reported their concerns about budget cuts in the near future  SELL members endorsed the ICOLC statement on the economic crisis, and also wrote a Supplementary Statement: http://www.heal-link.gr/SELL/statement7.htm http://www.heal-link.gr/SELL/statement7.htm

6 6/8 SELL joint licensing  ALJC ( http://aljc.swets.com/ ): http://aljc.swets.com/ First transnational agreement for e-journals, negotiated back in 2006! Benefit: the more participants, the more discount on the e-access fee (opt-in deal) Parties involved: SELL/ALPSP/Swets >600 e-journals from “small publishers” License 2007-2009, 44 participants from 4 countries Working on the 2010-2012 renewal!
