Homophones Last night I went to (meet/meat) my friends, Jenny and George. I had bought (sum/some) presents for them as it was (there/they’re/their) birthdays – they are twins! For Jenny, I had a beautiful (flour/flower) with brilliant yellow petals. For George, I’d got a watch to help him tell the (time/thyme). By the time I got to Jenny and George, it was quite late, according to George’s watch. In fact, it was (knight/night). We decided to (higher/hire) a taxi to take us home.
