9 Blastocystis hominis -Morphological forms: vacuolated, amoeboid, granular and cyst forms. -Distribution: worldwide. -Habitat: large intestine. -Infective stage: cyst form. -Pathogenic role: is doubtful. -Diagnostic specimen: stool.
