Interviewing people with stories to share -Students gain research, communication, and interview skills Recording their stories (writing and film) With their permission CreateSpace UPC Edit together the manuscript, including images Self-publishing company We have control over the book Work with graphic designer (covers, interior) ISBNs TellWell (Canadian)

8 Tentative Timeline Establish project committee: August 2015 Locating and connecting with storytellers: August-September 2015 Conducting interviews: September-November 2015 Assembling and editing interviews (text): December 2015 Begin working with self-publishing company: January 2016 Manuscript has to be completed for this stage Produce DVD interview footage: January 2016 Finished book (potential book launch): Summer 2016 (date TBA)

10 Promoting the Book Distributing copies to Brantford Public Library, Bell Homestead, Gretzky Centre, Travel and Tourism Centre, etc. Local author promotion month at Brantford Public Library Ads in community, on YouTube, in Brantford Expositor, on radio, etc. More publicity TBA

11 Financial Considerations Final cost is still TBA Waiting to hear back from some different options Will be looking for community sponsors/donors Will have more information soon
