5 Discussion Questions Is American law humane? Is incarceration a just way to punish individuals for their crimes? What other ways do Americans receive punishment for their crimes? Is there a need for law in America? How long do you think you would survive in an anarchic land?

6 A Trip Through Time with Law Group Work: Imagine you are back in a time period when laws are much different from what they are today. Your group will receive a type of law and you must work together in order to create a skit and present it to the class acting out a crime and punishment sequence.
