4. What mattered to women was they wanted their partners to stay with them after the birth of their baby. What mattered to staff was having built up a relationship they did not want to send them home.

12. What did you like least about your stay? The temperature in the room (too hot). The room was too hot seagulls outside were very noisy in the night.

14. Person centred visiting An information sheet about person centred visiting has been developed which includes partners staying over. This is issued in the antenatal period.
