WHO ARE CONSUMERS? A consumer is a person who uses goods and services Goods are things that you can touch, hold and sometimes need to buy For e.g. biscuits, pencil, ruler Services are action that a person does for someone else to satisfy what the person wants For e.g. Paying tuition fees, for washing of cars, for gardening

CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITIES Be a responsible consumer Always be polite Keep your receipts Handle goods carefully Keep up with current prices Check or examine product carefully Always check your change when you pay for a product Ask for information about care and cleaning of the product Read and understand information Gather information about products and prices Ask about procedures in case, you are not satisfied with the product Ask about guarantee Know the shop policy, whether you will be refunded or you can exchange the goods if you are not satisfied
