2 Word 1:Lunatic Def: A crazy person Sent: Mark was a bully and a lunatic.

3 Word 2: Invincible Def: Unable to be defeated or conquered Sent: Mark thought he was invincible because he was bigger than everyone else.

4 Word 3: Dreary Def: Dull, boring, depressing Sent: On a dreary February day, a new Japanese boy was put into the 7 th grade class.

5 Word 4: Arrogant / Arrogantly Def: Acting or claiming to be better than one is, overly proud Sent: Mark arrogantly challenged the new boy, Taishi, to a fight.

6 Word 5: Hover Def: To stay in the air in one place Sent: Mark hovered over the boy trying to scare him.

7 Word 6: Occasionally Def: sometimes, but not often Sent: Taishi said he occasionally would fight but it would not be fair to fight Mark.

13 Word 12: Devour Def: To engulf completely or eat greedily Sent: Tashi quietly sat back down and devoured his pizza and went to his next class.

14 Word 13: Jolt Def: To give a sudden shock or shake Sent: The beating jolted Mark, who gave up on being a bully.

15 Word 14: Resemble Def: To look like something else Sent: Everyone quickly realized that Taishi resembled a karate champion from Japan.

20 Word 19: Contagious Def: Carrying a disease (or feeling) that can spread to others Sent: The fear of Taishi was contagious. Even high school students left him alone.

21 Word 20: Murmur Def: Low, hard to hear voice Sent: You could here students murmur about Taishi every time he walked in the room.
