My Work Assessment: Discussion with the client their goals and aspirations and developing an Action Plan based on short term/medium and long term goals Creating CVs Job searching Writing Applications Conducting Mock interviews Referrals to Dress for Success or Suited and Booted Employer Liaison Group Workshops Conducting literacy and numeracy tests

3. From Key workers to employment support After the Key workers have resolved and unblocked as many barriers as possible and they believe they are ‘job ready’ The clients are then referred to me I then work with the client towards gaining employment Ideally, I like to start with a CV but sometimes a client might have an urgent application deadline so I would work flexibly and do that first and/or developed the CV as we go along.

4. One Client’s Journey Client A Attended a CV workshop left feeling empowered to begin working on her CV Booked in an appointment to complete it and drafted a cover letter We started to apply for jobs immediately She was invited for an interview almost immediately in an area of work she had wanted to be in and part of her long term plan in Property Development Client A was referred to Dress for Success

5. Client A (cont) Conducted a Mock Interview Was offered the job - with 3 months probation Throughout this period, I kept in touch with her to see if things were going okay and to offer her continuous support if she needed it She always said things were fine and going well

6. Client A (cont) Recently I received a call from Client A to say that she was asked to leave on the Saturday. She was shocked because she felt everything was going well with a few ‘teething problems.’ Contacted the employer immediately to ascertain the reasons for ‘letting her go’ After a few calls and emails, Client was advised that they were struggling financially I got to work again with Client A and began applying for new positions

7. Client A (cont) She applied on line for a local retail store and got through for an interview Did another refresher mock interview She was again accepted for this position and begin today!
