2. 2 Effectively Create –Adobe Template –Opportunity –Package on the 2007 Grants.gov System in Adobe Distinguish Templates in the 2006 and 2007 System Create 2007 Adobe Package –Differentiate 2007 from 2006 package Submission Reports Create Opportunity and Synopsis Via Email Objectives

3. 3 Agency Users MUST be Logged into the 2007 System (NOT the 2006 System) Selection of the Left Menu Bar Item “Manage Application Package Templates” will display 2007 Templates ONLY To Create an Adobe (2007 System) Template the User MUST do the Following: –Login to the Grants.gov Agency User Interface –Select “Manage Application Package Templates” from the Left Menu Bar Adobe Template Creation

4. 4 User MUST Select One of the Buttons to “Create Template” or “Modify Template” –Click on “Create Template” Select a Form Family Select the Required Mandatory and Optional Forms Enter a Name for the Template with an Extension of “_2007” to Differentiate it from 2006 System Templates Select the “Save” button The New Template will Now Appear in the List –Alternatively; the User may Select “Modify Template” Select the Required Mandatory and Optional Forms Select the “Save” Button The Modified Template will now Appear in the List Manage Application Package Template

5. 5 Agency Users MUST be Logged into the 2007 Grants.gov system (NOT the 2006 System) Selection of the Left Menu Bar Item “Manage Opportunities” Will Display BOTH 2006 AND 2007 Opportunities To Create an Adobe (2007 System) Opportunity the User MUST do the following: –Login to the Grants.gov Agency User Interface –Select “Manage Opportunities” from the Left Menu Bar Creating Adobe Template

6. 6 The User MUST select one of the buttons to “Create Opportunity” or “Modify Opportunity” –Click on the “Create Opportunity” button Enter the Opportunity Properties Select the “Add” Button to Enter the Synopsis if Desired Select the “Add” Button to Enter the Application Package Details Enter the Required Fields for the Application Package Note: ONLY 2007 Form Packages (Templates) will be Available for the 2007 Opportunity Select the “Publish” Button The Confirmation Page will be Displayed Select the “Publish” Button again to Complete the Process The New Opportunity will now Appear in the List –Alternatively; the User May Select “Modify Opportunity” Process Explained on the Next Slide Manage Opportunities

7. 7 Alternatively; the User may select “Modify Opportunity” –User MUST Select an Opportunity from the List that has a Value in the Right-Most Column “Legacy Record ” Equal to False –If “Legacy Record” is True; STOP Continuing to Modify this Opportunity will result in “Internal Server Error” and Subsequent Irreversible Corruption of the Opportunity If the “Legacy Record” is True and Modification of the Opportunity is Desired or Addition of a New Package to the Opportunity is Desired, the User MUST Navigate to the 2006 System to Complete the Modification –If the “Legacy Record” is False Click on the “Modify Opportunity” Button Make the Appropriate Button Selection to Modify the Opportunity Properties, Add a Synopsis, Add, Modify, or Delete Application Packages Modify Opportunity

8. 8 Agency Users are Logged into 2007 System –User Can run the Submission Report only for Adobe Grants (2007 System) with the Following GRANT number format: GRANT1XXXXXXX To Run the Submission Report for PureEdge Grants (2006 System) –Agency Users MUST be Logged in to the 2006 System –Only Grants with Tracking Numbers in the Following GRANT Number Format are Available for Reporting: GRANT0XXXXXXX Submission Report

9. 9 Agency Users MUST use the Following e-mails to Publish Opportunity and Synopsis for the Following Systems: –PROD 2007: synopsisxml@grants.gov (Adobe Only)synopsisxml@grants.gov –PROD 2006: synopsis@grants.gov (PE Only)synopsis@grants.gov –AT07: at07synopsis@devmail.grants.gov (Adobe Only)at07synopsis@devmail.grants.gov –AT: atsynopsis@devmail.grants.gov (PE Only)atsynopsis@devmail.grants.gov Sending a 2007 Opportunity and/or Synopsis to a 2006 e-mail Address will Cause the Opportunity to be Created with a “Legacy Record” Value Equal to True –This will Prohibit Users from Creating Adobe Packages to the opportunity Creating Opportunity and Synopsis via E-mail
