INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Contest Purpose This contest is to show the variety of cultures present in the campus Participants are encouraged to take pictures reflecting their view of their home town, either in Japan (Japanese students) or outside (international students)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Prizes (1) Each month 5 selected exhibits will be shown at the International Student Center with prize.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Prizes (2) Jury prizes will be given in a ceremony every three months All the selected participants will gather in a multicultural event together with the participants of the other contest of the ISC (“4 Seasons at the ISC”) People present on the gathering vote for the works and an extra trophy will be given

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Prizes (3) In October 2006 a ceremony will be held and 3 more prizes will be given among the 12 prized participants of all 12 months In case a prized participant is not in Tokyo Tech anymore his or her work is not eligible for prize and the Jury will decide the substitute work

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Who can apply? Any student of the Tokyo Institute of Technology can apply for this contest Participation in this contest is individual

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Application (1) Each application consists of 3 pictures and an explanation text Each picture will be presented in a landscape white A4 thick paper (photo paper thickness is OK) either glued or directly printed The picture must be centered on the A4 paper and its maximum dimensions are 24x16cm (width x height)

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Application (2) The explanations must be written using the available model and be maximum 1 page long in the same paper type as the pictures available model Text both in English and Japanese is encouraged. Contents don’t need to match. Text and pictures files are also to be presented either by email or CD. In case of analog pictures they can be scanned at the International Student Centeremail

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Application (4) Pictures must have been taken by the participants The ISC will hold the copyrights of the pictures presented Application materials won’t be returned to applicants Together with the pictures and explanation the application form must filled up, signed and presented.application form

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Display The 5 selected works of each month will be framed by the organization and displayed at the entrance of the ISC for the whole following month The winning works of all twelve months will we displayed 3 days at the Centennial Hall on October 2006. On the last day the Three extra prizes will be given. During these 3 days no pictures will be displayed at the ISC.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CENTER PHOTO CONTEST Deadlines Applications should be presented as personally at the Reception of the International Student Center (Ms. Kudo) and by email isc.photo@googlemail.com isc.photo@googlemail.com To participate in a certain month deadline is the 20 th of the previous month In case of too many applications for one month, selected ones will compete in the following month
