1 3/18/14 SERIES 4, SESSION 3 OF AAPLS – TITLE APPLICANTS & ADMINISTRATORS PREAWARD LUNCHEON SERIES Limited Submissions

2 What is a Limited Submission? A Limited Submission is a funding opportunity for which the sponsoring agency has limited the number of proposals an institution may submit. ORA facilitates the limited submission process to ensure such submission restrictions are met. http://viceprovost.tufts.edu/researchadmin/find-funding/process-for-limited- submissions-competitions/limited-submissions/

3 Submitting too many proposals may result in the automatic rejection of all proposals from Tufts. If a faculty or staff member identifies a limited submission prior to an ORA announcement, they should notify ORA immediately to ensure that no more than the specified number of applications are submitted. So what’s the BIG deal?

4 How does the Tufts research community get notified of upcoming limited submissions?  ORA Funding Opportunities E-list To subscribe, go here:  Health Sciences Campus (Boston/Grafton): https://elist.tufts.edu/wws/info/fundingopportunities https://elist.tufts.edu/wws/info/fundingopportunities  Medford/Somerville Campus: https://elist.tufts.edu/wws/info/medfordcampusfundingopport unities https://elist.tufts.edu/wws/info/medfordcampusfundingopport unities  ORA’s limited submission webpage http://viceprovost.tufts.edu/researchadmin/find-funding/process-for-limited- submissions-competitions/limited-submissions/
