Three stages Picadores lance the bull in the back of the neck Banderillos put lances in the bulls back Matadore kills the bull by putting a sword through its heart.

9. La Tomatina A festival where participants engage in a huge tomato fight. Over 150,000 tomatoes are used (40 tons) How it starts 1. People attempt to climb a greased pole to remove a ham. 2. When the ham is removed a cannon shot rings out and then the tomato throwing commences for an hour.
