Lesson 9.2 vocabulary Polygon-a simple closed figure in a plane formed by three or more line segment. Triangle-a polygon that has three angles Quadrilateral-a polygon having four sides Pentagon-a polygon having five sides Hexagon-a polygon having six sides Heptagon-a polygon having seven sides Octagon-a polygon having eight sides Nonagon-a polygon having nine sides Decagon-a polygon having ten sides Congruent-line segment that have the same length, or angles that have the same measurement, or figure that have the same size and shape. Regular polygon-a polygon having all sides congruent and all angles congruent.

Lesson 9.2 Examples Octagon because it has eight sides and it’s a close figure. This is not a polygon because its sides are not all congruent.
