3. II. Dress The Kiowa men wore shirts, breechcloths and moccasins all made of deer hide. The women wore dresses and tall moccasins of deerskin. They decorated their clothes and horses with silver and other metals.

4. III. Homes  The Kiowa’s homes had to be portable because the Kiowa were nomadic hunter gathers.  The Kiowa’s tepees started with four poles that were covered in buffalo hides and then they added twenty more poles.

5. IV. How They Lived  Because the Kiowa were nomadic and followed the herds, the horses became very important to the Kiowa.  They did not farm.  The women gathered fruits, berries, roots, and nuts. The men also hunted smaller animals like deer and antelope.

6. V. Beliefs  The Sun Boy was worshiped in the Kiowa gods.  The Sun Boy gave the Kiowa ten scared medicine bundles.  The Sun Dance was their most holy ceremony it took place in early summer or late spring usually sometime in June.
