3 Demand from Africa Ghana - 1 existing and 2 more requests Kenya - 4 requests Rwanda - 3 request Cape Verde - 1 Uganda - 2 Nigeria - 1 South Africa - 3 existing and 5 more Organic grassroots growth process leading to an institutional structure

4 Why this Demand? Africans want to produce technology - need the TOOLS to fish not the FISH; developing specific solutions to African problems like energy, etc participation in the global technology space develop industrial research capacity create businesses from R & D engineer solutions that’s global in nature but local in context reduce the gap between industry and academia build required info and infra structure for competitiveness in the knowledge economy

5 The Fab Ecosystem International Research Institutions like MIT, CSIR etc Fab Foundation - Global, Regional and National Fab Fund Governments NGOs
