My Seven Wonders By: Diana Alvizu

Victoria Falls This great falls separates Zimbabwe from Zambia running along forest. These falls are one of the biggest home to hippos and crocodiles, falling with great force. The falls where made of fast moving rivers and falling of the cliff in South America. I think these falls are awesome since they are one of the biggest and most astonishing falls in the world.

Great Barrier Reef It runs parallel to the coast of Queensland in Australia. It’s a reef barrier home to many species of plants and animals. It was made by corals decaying in the same place, extending 2000km long. I think it’s a wonder since few corals for this kind of reefs and to put easy everything created by nature is a wonder, but this one stands out.

The Niagara Falls The Niagara Falls are located in the Canadian Shield. These are beautiful falls surprising us with it’s sight. They are made of the Niagara River running 100 km both east and west. I consider it a wonder since it has an endless amount of water, and I just think it’s good to consider it a wonder while it lasts.

Iguaçú Falls These are magnificent falls These Falls are located in the border between Brazil and Argentina. It is made of many different rivers falling in different places. For me these falls are a wonder because of how they are made.

Lake Baikal This is a master piece made by nature. It is located in Russia and they call it sacred lake. It stands 25 million years old, 400 miles long and 5000 ft deep. It is a wonder to me since most lakes around me are black of brown this lake is blue.

Panama Canal This canal is a great view to tourists all around the world. Located in Panama in Central America. The ocean and glacier opened this canal up then flooding it. I think it’s a wonder since it is a great tourist site that is beautiful.

Mount Everest It is the tallest mountain in the world. It is located in Nepal and the border of Tibet. It started as a hill then erosion helped it grow. I think is a wonder since its one of the tallest mountains in the world, standing 29,028 ft high.
