Section 1 Review Mission Objective

1-North Korean Mission Objectives Cross the imperialists imposed DMZ line yellow Capturing the Tongil Bridge (red) a direct route to Seoul before it is destroyed after turn 10 North Korean troops immediately on both sides of the bridge at the end of turn 10 qualify for North Korean victory You are the tip of the spear to allow the great army of North Korea to unite our nations. To do this you must secure access across the Imjin river to Seoul by:

2 – Choose Battle group option The battle group options are each tailored to a particular style of command They are also designed to make the decision difficult, a gain in one trait is a loss in another Please note the Battle group’s highlighted notes as they may impact your tactics

Option #1: 2 Infantry Battalions and 1 Armored Battalion supported by 6 152mm off board Artillery Batteries. Each Inf BN has an Inf Co, Inf Co with ATGWs and a Mortar Co. Infantry Battalion x 2 BN HQ (Silver Base indicates HQ) Mortar Co. ATGW Co. (Note ATGWs on bases) Infantry Co. Red indicates North Korean

Option #1 continued: 2 Mechanized Infantry Battalions and 1 Armored Battalion supported by 6 152mm off board Artillery Batteries. Each Inf BN has an Inf Co, Inf Co with ATGWs and a Mortar Co Armored Battalion BN HQ (Silver Base indicates HQ) 3x Armor Co.

Option #2: This option replaces 3 152mm Artillery batteries with 2 ZSU-23-4 Anti-Aircraft units. ZSU-23-4’s will be attached to the Armored BN Brigade HQ and Assets in Opt #2 BG HQ (Gold Base indicates CO) 3x 152mm Arty Batt’s 2x ZSU-23-4 Attached to Armored BN

Section 3 Note Artillery and Ambush Locations

3 - Note Artillery and Ambush locations Plot the ambush point of your Special Forces ambush on the following map with the erasable pen provided noting the turn number. They will arrive within 5cm of that location Plot the artillery points on the following map with the erasable pen provided noting Artillery battery (1-6 or 1-3) and the turn that strike is made, 4 assest per battery. Example: “2B/T4/2A” on the map might indicate 2 nd Batt, Turn 4, 2 nd asset of 4. And “SF3” circled on the map is the location of the Special Forces Ambush to occur on turn three. Use any method you want but it must be clear and within the rules of the game.

Section 4 Deploy Troops

4 – Deploy Troops South Korea will require you to have steps 1-3 complete but YOU will need South Korea to setup troops first allowing your deployment to adjust accordingly, except for pre plotted artillery that should have been completed in section 3 Once South Korea has deployed, setup your troops along the north west map edge north of the DMZ defined by the tree line. Deploy your off board artillery near the map edge to represent the artillery pieces you have available. 6 pieces for Opt #1 and 3 for Opt #2

Unite Your Country! South Korean capitalists will try to prevent the reunification your people deserve! Take the Tongil Bridge by turn 10 before the puppets of the south destroy your gateway to Seoul and a unified Korea!
