6. 6 Brief Introduction Our chapter was founded in 2002 with 13 undergraduate and 2 graduate students. Now we have 14 undergraduate and 4 graduate students. Pre-registration members for 2006:20 undergraduate.

7. 7 Activities For kids age within 11-15 named “Optics for Kids” For undergraduate students named “Optical Instruments and Their Applications.”

8. 8 Optics for Kids 1) 11th April: Eyuboglu College Observatory Journey.  The observatory has the second biggest telescope in Turkey.  Our aim was to demonstrate telescopes.  We observed the Sun

11. 11 2) 18th April: Teaching Telescope Making  The kids learnt how to make telescope  They made their own telescopes

14. 14 3) 2nd May: Science Festival for Kids  The festival took one day long  We demonstrated mostly optical instruments such as telescopes, lenses, microscope etc.  We made also some experiments from the Optics Discovery Kit, which we got from OSA.

20. 20 Optical Instruments and Their Applications for Undergraduates 1) Trip to Eyuboglu College Observatory  We made another journey to Eyuboglu College Observatory with undergraduate students at Koc University.  We introduced telescopes and made observation.

27. 27 Consequently We will continue to our activities named “Optics for Kids”, and “Optical Instruments and Their Applications for Undergraduates.” Our projects were published in Kule Magazine around the universities and gotten attentions.
