(Ex., to select the letter “C”, depress 2 ABC button and then depress 3 more times). b.To fix selected value, release the finger from the key for more than 1 second. c.Once sample ID is completed, press ENT key to make curser to next POS #. d.Once all sample IDs have been entered, press EXIT key to return to READY menu. 5 Prepare sample(s) as follows: a.Place sample cell on clean counter mat. b.Using plastic pipet, transfer enough sample into cup to fill at least halfway. c.Place yellow x-ray film over top of cell. d.Affix retaining ring (flange down) onto cell ensuring x-ray film is taut and no wrinkles are present in film. e.Flip cell over and puncture top with thumbtack. f.Repeat steps 5.1-5.5 until all samples are prepared – label sample cups if necessary. AreaUnitOperating Procedure #Certified byRevision #DatePage 3LabOPS-LB-PS-01809.20.20112 of 2 Sulfur by Horiba SLFA-2800 Continued 6 Load samples in instrument as follows: a.Push lever located under sample-chamber lid to the open position and lift open cover. b.Load samples in carousel in positions corresponding to sample IDs typed in previously. c.Close sample-chamber lid ensuring lid is completely closed. 7With the READY menu displayed, press the MEASURE key located to right of control panel. 8 Upon completion of the measurement(s), a beep sound is heard – sample cups must be removed immediately once analysis of samples is finished. NOTE: Do not leave sample cups in x-ray as moisture will develop inside chamber. 9Discard spent samples into trash can. Note: This procedure is only valid at the time of printing.
