Who made it? What has it discovered? The Major Contractor for the making of the Fermi Gamma Ray Telescope was General Dynamics. The telescope was launched on June, 11 2008. So it has been in space for 5 years 10 months and 27 days. The Fermi Gamma Ray telescope has discovered the youngest millisecond pulsa. “A millisecond pulsar (MSP) is a pulsar with a rotational period in the range of about 1-10 milliseconds. Millisecond pulsars have been detected in the radio, X-ray, and gamma ray portions of the electromagnetic spectrum” by definition.

How is this telescope different? Gamma Ray Telescopes are space telescopes that are different in a way that it studies rays that cannot be seen by peoples. Gamma Rays are “penetrating electromagnetic radiation of a kind arising from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei” from the definition. This means that gamma rays are harmful to humans and to the earth. Gamma rays have one billion times the energy than the light that people can see. Gamma Rays
