2 Summer of 2011:  54 California libraries created postcards and letters about life in their hometowns and exchanged them with a partner library.  The twenty-seven pen pal partnerships resulted in the exchange of well over 1000 pieces of mail. 6 Summer of 2015: Read to the Rhythm Rock & Read/ Let the Music Play/Give Music Libraries commit to host a live music event over summer. Select a local school music program or a national organization that provides music services to communities at risk, veterans, etc. to highlight at the event and have a container available for donations.
