How To Complete A Lab Plan…

Page 1- Front Names – Your name goes first, followed by lab group members Recipe Name – What we are making Lab Date – The day we are in the KITCHEN Kitchen Number – The number of your kitchen Lab Manager – The person responsible for making sure all other members have completed their jobs – ROTATE EACH LAB

WORK PLAN… Task To Be Done - List all things that must be done by all members of the lab to complete the finished product – do this FIRST Person Assigned– List first names of lab group members – rotate through jobs – DISCUSS who wants to do what Time – Estimate the approximate time for each step – we have about 45 minutes! All lab member’s lab plans should MATCH

TASKS TO BE DONE… Wash hands Get ingredients Preheat oven Measure ingredients Prepare dish water EACH STEP OF RECIPE – Write out completely Wash dishes Dry dishes Put away dishes/equipment Clean counters Sweep

Ingredients Page… Ingredients – list all items needed to complete the recipe Amount – specific amount of each ingredient needed Measuring Tool – liquid, dry, or measuring spoon, stick of butter, etc.

CLEAN UP Fill out on PLANNING DAY – DISCUSS who will do what Place initials of each person next to each job they will complete

EVALUATION Fill out AFTER lab at home/on your own time – not during lab time Answer questions THOUGHTFULLY – no one word answers Due the day after lab or considered LATE Worth 100 points Labs left in the kitchen will have 5 points deducted

FINALLY… Staple recipe to back of lab plan after planning Talk to each other when planning Make sure equipment is DRY when put away Remember that I dismiss you – not the bell No Soda! Place all dirty towels in clothes basket Stay busy – no sitting during lab Have FUN
