2. °Marie discovered a new element called Radioactivity. ° In 1906 Marie Curie came up with a therapy called the Curie therapy including Biological & Radiotherapy. °On November 3, 1903 Marie Curie was the first woman that won a Nobel prize in physics for her work on radio activity. °In July 1898, Marie published a book about an undiscovered compound containing a radioactive element that they named polonium, after Marie's native country, Poland.

3. November 7 1867, Marie was born. Mid November, 1903 Pierre and Marie won the Nobel peace prize for physics. In November 1906, Marie Curie established the Curie Institute. In 1911, Marie won her second Nobel peace prize in chemistry. Marie died in 1934 because of over exposure to radiation.

4. Marie was the first woman to graduate with a PHD from a French university. Marie had two daughters named Irene and Eve. Her daughter, Irene, won a Nobel Peace Prize also. She was the first woman to win 2 Nobel Peace Prizes. When her and her husband won the Nobel Peace Prize they refused to receive it because they were involved in their research.
